The Director, Application Delivery is responsible for the delivery of development, maintenance, and enhancements across the IT application platforms. This leader will drive the application/ solution delivery to support new business requirements utilizing industry standard development methodologies. This position will institute and be responsible for standard processes for application delivery for all applications throughout HomeServe USA. This role will be a driving force in the implementation and delivery of core applications while being accountable to meeting both internal and external customer requirements with efficient solutions that do not compromise quality. This person will also be involved in the development and delivery of HomeServe USA’s future systems footprint based on Salesforce, Heroku, AWS and MuleSoft technologies.
- Oversight of the application delivery across the corporate IT platforms including the newer technologies being delivered and the existing legacy systems. The HomeServe USA’s solutions, include but are not limited to SalesForce, Heroku, MuleSoft, Talend, Oracle, Quadient, Service Bench, DispatchMe, and Wennsoft
- Identify technical delivery and use metrics to improve the quality of services for our users. Identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks within the Application development & delivery processes and resolve them.
- Participate in the architecture, documentation, design of the future application roadmap.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of internal Development & Delivery teams as well as the contracted resources supporting the overall delivery.
- Manage the ongoing operations of legacy applications and integration processes to our business partners
- Collaborate closely with business teams as a key technology partner to provide timely and accurate solution delivery across the application platform that meets the business needs.
- Work with business users and IT staff to troubleshoot difficult operational, data and exceptions issues
- Delivery of IT projects using appropriate best-of-breed project management methodologies
- Performance management of all outsourced IT Application providers and vendors to ensure optimal quality and cost effectiveness
- Development and maintaining a set of processes used to troubleshoot and resolve application issues across all systems / regions
- Development of operational metrics
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Experience: 10+ years of Information Technology experience required, including managing development resources, large scale systems implementations, and maintenance of large-scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms; 7+ years managing teams supporting applications
- Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of automated testing solutions
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture technologies a plus, but not required
- Prior experience with systems development methodologies such as Prince II, Agile, etc.
- Knowledge of automated testing solutions
- Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once
- Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities
- Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment
- Experience training and mentoring others
- Ability to speak another language is a plus, not required

Salary Range: $149,999.00 - $199,998.86
Annual Bonus Potential: 20%
