Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Nitrous, Coronal polishing, Sealant certifications are REQUIRED
- Experience with Dentrix dental software for managing patient records
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and recording medical histories
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques and oral sedation sessions are REQUIRED
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
