This position reports to the maintenance manager and consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment for a food manufacturer, new equipment installations, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs. The qualified candidate will be a full journeyman in maintenance department.
- Repair and maintain production equipment.
- Practice safe work habits and wear proper PPE. Follows proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Completes all OSHA required training as required and correct any unsafe conditions as necessary.
- Complete work orders and assignments on time as directed by supervisor or manager.
- Performs package change-overs on equipment as required.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs as indicated on the program.
- Participates in daily meetings and reports maintenance department objectives and opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.
- Develop preventative maintenance needs and requirements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical of food processing and industrial machinery in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with the plant’s policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervisor.
- Must have a good understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance operations.
- Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong verbal skills
- Knowledgeable on OSHA laws and can implement all OSHA required training for the department.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work 12 hour shifts and the flexibility to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain industrial maintenance tools of the trade.
- Able to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit and talk or hear regularly; able to use both hands and fingers, to handle, or feel, sit for long periods of time, stand frequently, bend, squat, reach and turn; able to adapt temperature extremes of hot and cold, heights and confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift-up to 100 pounds. May be required to push or pull with a dolly or pallet jack up to 500 lbs.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s license
- Certified in forklift and able to drive forklift in a safe manner
