Summary:
Responsible for achieving and maintaining an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout area of responsibility.
CORE FUNCTIONS:

Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures. Must plan the completion of these tasks daily.
Inventories, restocks, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etcetera, located in all assigned areas of the facility.

Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary. Protects equipment from damage by proper use.

May perform special projects such as: window washing, wall washing etc.

Responds to questions and requests from resort guests and strives for great guest service.

Under regular supervision, this position has responsibility at an assigned area. Assigned areas are SCDC locations to include but not limited to: Resort, Retail, and Golf Course locations.

Must be proficient with corporation’s work order system.

Performs all functions according to established OSHA and SCDC policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS
Able to stand, climb, stoop, bend frequently; positions require considerable physical activity.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Requires ability to tolerate exposure to conditions which may include toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and heights.
Must wear protective eyewear and clothing as required.
May be required to travel to various locations.
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person, radio, or telephone.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals, and able to fill out chemical identification stickers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques is preferred.
