E&I has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Reconciliation Specialist.This position will be responsible performing various accounting functions primarily focused on accurate and timely recording of member purchases and revenue and maintenance of membership files in the Accounting software platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participate in our Deliberately Developmental Organizational (DDO) Culture, with the willingness to be open-minded, identify, and make improvement on your growth edges. Support your colleagues’ development by providing feedback, utilize development tools and practices as a team sport to further the growth, development and ultimately enhance innovation in our organization.
- Prepare excel spreadsheets submitted by business partners detailing E&I member purchases for automated data input.
- Research business partner exception reports, which are generated by member purchases processing and details all unallocated purchases to a specific E&I member number. Research includes using the internet and Accounting software to research institutions for additional campuses, affiliated labs, hospitals or satellite schools in order to establish a connection to an E&I member and allocate purchases.
- Ensure member information in the Accounting software platform matches the E&I membership list And reviews e-mails received indicating changes to the existing/new members and updates the list accordingly.
- Maintain department files containing business partner reports and supporting documents related to the reconciliation of member purchases, contract administration fees and receivables to the general ledger.
- Assist in the annual desk audits to compare business partner reporting for a specific period to the amounts reported by our members for the same supplier and period.
- Assist the Director, Contract Accounting with special projects related to member rebates by business partner, patronage distributions including, but not limited to organized mailings and tracking of select data on various spreadsheets for each rebate.
- Participates in various projects related to research and verification of business partner/member inquiries or disputes, inconsistencies in CAF rates paid to E&I, missing member purchases and investigations of late or short payment of CAF.
- Responsible for signing of accounts payable, rebate and patronage checks via electronic signature machine.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· 2-year degree or equivalent work experience
· Previous work experience related to reconciliation of revenue and purchases
· Previous work experience in accounting software a plus
· Ability to research and utilize problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Professional communication skills while interfacing with members, E&I employees and business partners.
· Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
· Ability to work independently and is self driven
· National travel to company sponsored events (5%)
