Job Summary:
We are seeking candidates for Back-of-House (BOH) positions in our restaurant. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean and maintain food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation, sanitation, and safety
Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Sales skills to promote menu items effectively
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Experience in the food service or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with banquet operations is a plus
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in food handling techniques
- Understanding of the food industry standards and practices
