Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform maintenance and releases of the SharePoint 2016/2019/SE platform, servers, and intranet.
- Support system administration of SharePoint Online tenant including creating new sites and permission groups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint infrastructure issues or malfunctions.
- Consult with clients to identify and implement SharePoint and Project Server infrastructure requirements.
- Perform routine data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
- Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
- Review usage and activity reports to optimize infrastructure operations.
- Maintain network infrastructure and manage encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
- Assess new and relevant SharePoint and Project Server services and technologies.
- Prepare and update SharePoint and Project Server services documentation and define proper processes according to industry best practices.
- Assist in the creation of prototypes, proof of concepts (POCs), presentation, collateral, etc.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Provide support for SharePoint integrations between multiple systems to troubleshoot networking issues and maintain with current network configurations.
- Provide change request support to SharePoint underlying network structure, DNS updates in Active Directory, and SSL Certificate updates.
- Provide best practice consultative services in architecture design, topology, classification taxonomies, governance, workflows, business intelligence, and training.
- Provide support to the SharePoint Developers and DevOps Engineers for critical activities related to system upgrades and new deployments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- College degree in an IT or scientific field, or equivalent experience
- MCP/MCTS certifications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with the logical and physical functions, operations, and technical architecture of large and complex SharePoint systems
- Strong experience in implementing Microsoft security patching and upgrades to SharePoint 2019/SE.
- Strong experience with utilizing the Microsoft SharePoint Admin Center for configuration of SharePoint Online sites across an organization.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and SharePoint Online (SPO) required
- Strong experience with SharePoint Hybrid approach (On prem + SPO)
- Strong experience in creation and configuration of SharePoint 2016/2019 stacks
- Strong experience in implementing Power BI Server (On Prem) with SharePoint 2019 stack
- Proven Competency overseeing the architecture and implementation of SharePoint and Cloud solutions
- Experience with PowerShell
- Skill in design and development of enterprise applications on the Microsoft platform
- Extensive experience utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience with SharePoint Online
- At least 3 years' experience maintaining servers with SharePoint 2016/2019/SE.
- Experience using JIRA
- Experience on federal contracts
