Inventory Control Analyst
Job description
Shadow Systems is a manufacturer of high-precision custom firearms and firearms components. We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Analyst who is willing and ready to be a hard-working team player in a rapidly growing company.
The person we’re looking for:
An ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment working with inventory control. A successful candidate for this role will have knowledge required to perform detailed investigations of inventory inaccuracies stemming from issue including receipt transactions, adjustments, design bill of materials, inventory backflushing, item setup, shipping, general ledger posting and other inventory related ERP system-based activities. Work in this area will require an extensive degree of personal interaction with colleagues, subordinates, and superiors. Be prepared to ask questions, perform investigations and recommend or train corrective actions. To be successful, a candidate must be comfortable, confident and able to communicate and direct others at multiple levels of the business to address systemic and one-time lapses in process.
Essential duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Investigate inventory variances and report on main drivers and proposals for resolution
- Recommends and implements improvements to process to prevent inventory inaccuracies
- Performs root cause analysis investigations and adjustments to identified inventory discrepancies and / or required adjustments to inventory levels based on receipt, shipping, adjustment, bill of material accuracy or transfer activities assists in development, documentation, and training of inventory control procedures
- Assist with out to vendor records and account reconciliations
- Assist with year-end audit by providing requested documentation
- Provides backup to inventory control responsibilities in warehouse, shipping and receiving when needed.
- Coordinates the storage and movement of materials within or between departments of a warehouse or establishment.
- Receives and resolves incoming requests involving transaction discrepancies reported by Operations, Customer Service, or Purchasing.
Qualifications / basic job requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an inventory control or accounting position with direct responsibility for inventory analysis processes or cycle counting
- Advanced level MS Excel skill
- Knowledge and practical experience in NetSuite ERP and RF-Smart strongly preferred. Extensive experience within ERP systems required
- Strong problem-solving skills, preferably with formal root cause analysis and / or problem-solving training
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills and ability to coach and correct behavior with peers and subordinates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
