DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the doctor, teammates, and patients regularly, proactively, and in a professional, positive manner
- Flexible with schedule to be available for emergencies
- Welcome patients to the dental office
- Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
- Selecting and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
- Liaison to patient and doctor
- Positions and/or passes instruments in sequence for doctor’s access
- Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Scheduling appointments and post op visits
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Assisting with payment procedures
- Take digital radiographs (x-rays) and CBCT to assist in oral care, diagnosis, and treatment
- Educate patients on oral care and postoperative instructions and respond to patient inquiries
- Must be able to read and interpret patient records
- Maintains proper dental supplies and inventory by documenting, ordering, and verifying receipt of supplies
- Secures patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; adheres to HIPPA compliance
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
- Able to react effectively in emergency situations
- Presents a professional appearance and behavior that promotes patient care and a harmonious work environment
- Perform administrative task when needed
- Able to react to change productively and handle all other duties/essential tasks as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned

You're a caring, collaborative problem-solver and self motivator who is able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities, and wants to make a positive impact in yours as well as others.
The following is preferred:
- At least 1 year of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Proactive to anticipate the needs of patients and dentists
- Well-organized, reliable and resourceful
- Have an eagerness to learn and grow
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
- An active state radiology license (if required by law)
