Key responsibilities for this position include preparation of financial statements, successful execution of month-end close procedures, daily bank reconciliations, bi-weekly payroll processing, time and material billings and implementation of new or improved processes and controls. Must be an analytical problem-solver with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor cash flow via supervision of daily bank activity.
- Reconcile bank accounts daily.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and prepare required monthly reports.
- Perform month-end closing activities, maintain general ledger and recording of journal entries to support auditable, accurate financial statements in a deadline driven environment (10-day month-end close timeline).
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly depreciation/amortization entries.
- Review divisional financials with Controller and other executives, preparing and submitting necessary adjustments or accruals within appropriate closing cycles.
- Prepare monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement and a Statement of Cash Flow.
- Provide support in preparation of the property tax returns.
- Assist with preparation of annual audit schedules.
- Promote teamwork and quality of service through daily communication and coordination with the various departments.
- Partner cross-functionally to understand business transactions and ensure that transactional activities are complete and coded accurately.
- Consistently look to implement efficiencies in processes and procedures by making recommendations to the Controller.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience with general understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Must possess a strong understanding of and ability to use accounting software; experience using QuickBooks a strong plus
