Vice President, US Market Access
The Vice President of US Market Access will lead the development and execution of strategic plans for our oncology pipeline, while building and leading the US market access team, prepare for and launch of our first oncology product. Also, in addition to oncology experience, the ideal candidate will have general pharma experience in competitive disease areas. The Vice President of US Market Access will develop the strategic plans in alignment with both the SVP Global Market Access and the General Manager, US Oncology. Implementation of plans into the US market will be in close partnership with the GM.
Responsibilities
Shaping and managing access and reimbursement strategy for the oncology portfolio
Build and lead US based market access teams.
Strong expertise in creating strategic account engagement plans, and leading price negotiations to optimize patient access.
Collaborate closely with HEOR, medical teams to maximize access.
Develop platform and disease specific access and health outcome strategy.
Develop market access value proposition and value dossier.
Lead the development of payor and channel customer strategy to maximize access in a competitive environment.
Lead negotiations with commercial, government and specialty accounts
Maximize strong payor coverage for the entire portfolio.
Provide access perspective to pipeline assets.
Experience payer marketing, contract strategy, pricing, and account management
General pharma experience in competitive disease areas.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years in market access with experience with launch readiness and strategy for the US oncology market. Proven experience in managed markets/market access marketing within the pharmaceutical industry with direct managed care experience.
Good ability to motivate and inspire colleagues within a matrix structure, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change.
Solid commercial understanding of the US health system, along with market access services and healthcare professional engagement
Understanding of the compliance aspects associated with market access in the Rx industry.
Demonstrated experience in influencing strategy and managing across multiple markets.
Proven and demonstrated leadership/communication skills.
Good ability to manage sensitive partnerships, strong influencing and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Willingness to travel.
Preferred requirements: Advanced degree (MHA, MPH, MBA)
