The Composite Technician Program provides a background in Pultrusion composite production and experience in a broad number of technical aspects of our products. The participants will be trained in every position within the Pultrusion composite production process. In addition to the production training, the participants will get exposure to concepts and techniques in various engineering, tooling and quality areas. Upon completion of the 3-month hands-on training program, participants will be placed into Technician or Lead roles within production, quality, tooling, maintenance or engineering teams. Various shifts offered including Days, Nights, and condensed work weeks.
Duties and Responsibilities

Follows written work instructions and standard operating procedures

Actively participates in department process improvement and efficiency

Assists in documenting any changes to run variables and setup information

Records necessary information on the work orders and turns them in daily

Acts as a champion for safety by demonstrating and ensuring that all safety rules are being followed

Capable of auditing a process for accuracy

Performs other duties, in any area of the plant, as directed
Job Requirements
-
A two-year degree, Bachelor’s degree, technical certificate or equivalent education required. Preferably in a technical or trade program, but any post-secondary education will be considered

Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow
-
Ability to properly prioritize and pay close attention to details
-
Able to read and write the English language
-
Able to perform basic math functions and make technical measurements
-
Able to work and lead with minimal supervision
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem solving skills are essential
Physical Work Conditions

The position is located on the production floor, standing for up to 8-12 hours a day
-
Work with or around power tools, loud equipment, and chemicals
-
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
