We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender/Server to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn of Bentonville/ Rogers. As a Bartender/Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through your exceptional service, attention to detail, and mixology expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Bartending: Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Engage with guests to take drink orders, offer recommendations, and provide personalized service.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including all equipment, glassware, and utensils.
Stay up-to-date with current beverage trends and create innovative and seasonal cocktails.
Food and Beverage Service: Provide attentive, prompt, and courteous service to guests in the hotel's dining areas.
Take food orders accurately, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
Deliver food orders promptly and ensure accuracy and presentation in accordance with established standards.
Guest Interaction: Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, anticipating their needs and preferences.
Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner, escalating issues as needed.
Foster positive relationships with regular patrons and new guests, promoting return visits.
Cash Handling and Inventory Management: Process guest payments, handling cash and credit transactions accurately and securely.
Maintain cash register and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Monitor inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies, restocking as necessary.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
Verify guest age for alcohol consumption, following legal guidelines and hotel policies.
Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines and refuse service to intoxicated guests when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of mixology and beverage preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse clientele.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
