The Role:
Purchasing Manager - Construction
As a Purchasing Manager you’ll have 3-5+ years of previous experience in a construction/general contracting firm or subcontractor with previous experience in purchasing and vendor management. The role will work within all divisions of the company including service and special projects. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment and interacting with internal teams as well as external vendors, is pro-active and is knowledgeable with construction materials.
Your Responsibilities:
· Purchasing construction materials including sheetrock, flooring, paint, protection materials and any and all items including small equipment
· Coordindate with in-field project managers and field supers to ensure necessary materials are being ordered and received in a timely manger for ongoing jobs.
· Research, evaluate, vet and set-up vendors and suppliers
· Ensures vendors meet any compliance needs
· Source and negotiate pricing
· Create purchasing policies, procedures and processes
· Issue purchase orders and maintain purchasing logs
· Maintain inventory of all materials at various sites

· Previous experience in construction or a trade
