Repsol's is seeking a New Professional (Recent Graduate) to join the Planning & Portfolio Management team as a Planning Analyst.
This role is a great opportunity for development and exposure within a global energy company. The Planning Analyst will contribute to long-term planning analysis for projects across all areas of our business, with significant impact to the growth our portfolio. This team, as part of the Excellence Center, provides support to E&P business across Repsol's global portfolio (all countries in which the company is present).
Location & Schedule: The position is based out of our US Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. We follow a hybrid work model (two days in the office plus teleworking) and offer a compressed work schedule (9/80).
Responsibilities

Economically analyze and evaluate the investment and business development proposals, verifying their alignment with Group and carrying out subsequent follow up.

Consolidate and analyze long range plans and prepare the information necessary for their submission and approval.

Support the manager in the process of monitoring fulfilment of investment proposals and the Strategic Plan.

Economically analyze and evaluate the E&P assets for reserves closing and impairment test exercises.

Support the manager in analyzing the business portfolio, growth opportunities, and restructuring.

Maintain portfolio tools and the description of the portfolio, ensuring that the data is updated and corrected.

Create and prepare information periodically (annual report, 20-F, Fact Book, Q&A, etc.) in coordination with all other departments involved and carry out any necessary studies.

Prepare reports on environment monitoring, competition, and the market, and analyze their implications for the competitive position of the businesses, the Group, and corporate development activity.

Prepare and maintain databases and reports for management.
Minimum Requirements
-
Must be fully authorized to work indefinitely in the US for any company without limitations, restrictions, program requirements, or sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not eligible for sponsorship or limited term employment through CPT/OPT programs.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Economics/Energy Economics or Engineering preferred, other majors that are closely related may also be considered if the candidate has the necessary oil & gas planning background.

2+ years of related oil & gas industry experience in E&P contract / economic analysis.

Must have demonstrated experience with E&P contracts and familiarity with O&G fiscal terms/processes.

Must have experience with economic and financial modeling, and experience using a variety of analytical tools (i.e. Excel, Enersight (highest priority) VBA, @risk, Crystal Ball, Power BI, Spotfire, etc)

Experience with long term planning activities for upstream and downstream business, including large scope budget planning and variance analysis.

Experience with oil & gas contracts

Bilingual, Spanish and English is helpful in the role, but not mandatory
