Job Description
- Maintains current State licensure
- Maintains continuing education requirements for continued medical practice in the State;
- Provide medication management
- Complete psychiatric assessment
- Evaluates and treats clients as needed for medical issues including patient education.
- Provide regularly scheduled psychiatric patient care.
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with Mental Illness
Requirements
- Current, Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Board of Medicine and Nursing to practice Independently as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority.
- Current DEA prescriptive authority .
- Experience working with other professionals to ensure best practice.
- Skilled in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical responsibilities.
- Experience in documenting in the medical record and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical / administrative concerns
- Graduate of an accredited graduate nurse practitioner program and certified as a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
License/Certifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- DEA Certification (Required
