Job Overview:
As a Executive Chef at Blü Prime Steakhouse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our culinary operations. Working closely with the Director of Operations, you will lead a talented kitchen team, oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership: Lead and inspire the kitchen team to achieve culinary excellence, ensuring that dishes meet the high standards set by Blü Prime Steakhouse.
Menu Execution: Coach the culinary team to execute the menu precisely, ensuring that each dish reflects the unique flavors and quality associated with Blü Prime Steakhouse.
Operational Excellence: Oversee kitchen and Stewarding operations, including but not limited to food preparation, cooking, inventory management, and kitchen cleanliness. Implement efficient processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Team Management: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to maintain consistency in recipe execution and uphold the restaurant's culinary standards.
Food Cost Control: Manage food costs effectively by monitoring inventory, controlling portion sizes, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet the established standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices. Implement and enforce proper kitchen hygiene protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, fine-dining establishment.
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of food cost control and inventory management.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.
