CNC Programmer Job Description:
Objective
To ensure success as a CNC Programmer, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised. CNC programmer should work quickly and efficiently, ensuring all products meet the specifications of the client.
Responsibilities
- CNC programming for lathes and milling machines using Mastercam.
- Set-up, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling machines.
- Provide tooling, fixture, and program support to CNC machinists.
- Help train new employees.
- Act as liaison between machine shop and engineering.
- Maintain documentation for daily machine shop operations (inspection sheets, machine checklist, job instructions, shipping receipts)
- Maintain and update CNC program library by optimizing toolpaths and cycle times.
- Manage work orders through Cloud Suite Industrial (CSI) routing system.
Requirements
- Trade School or bachelor’s degree.
- Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
- Mastercam Experience a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
- Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work after-hours when required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
