JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and energetic General Manager who is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience while leading a talented, dynamic team.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations with a primary focus on driving sales growth and staff management.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant/lounge, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the establishment
- Execute a monthly liquor inventory utilizing Accubar
Staff Management
- Train, schedule, and supervise staff, including manager, hostess, servers, bartenders, cooks, and support staff
- Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback
- Handle employee issues and conflicts, write ups and documentations
Customer Service
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service
- Address customer complaints, concerns and online reviews
- Monitor guest feedback and make necessary improvements
- Manage reservation systems including Open Table
Finance Management
- Control costs and maximize revenue.
- Set pricing strategies for food and beverages, and banquets
Marketing and Promotion
- Create and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
- Plan and execute promotional events and special offers
- Build relationships with local businesses and the community
- Oversee updates to our website, social media, and public relations
Menu Development
- Collaborate with chefs to create and update menus
- Ensure menu items are cost-effective and meet customer preferences
- Monitor food quality and presentation
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in both fine dining and casual environments (Preferred)
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, including positions as a server or bartender in New York City
- Strong leadership and management skills are essential for overseeing a team
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent customer service
- A good understanding of food and beverage preparation, presentation, and trends
