The Seattle King County Mobile Medical Program is seeking a skilled, committed, and trauma-informed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join the Seattle Street Medicine Team. The ARNP will join the multidisciplinary team to collaboratively provide health care to individuals experiencing homelessness in King County. In this position, the ARNP will work with public health nurses, harm reduction/behavioral health specialists and community health outreach workers to provide field-based medical care. The Mobile Medical Program provides non-emergent acute and chronic care, family planning, STI evaluation and treatment, low-barrier medication treatment for opioid use disorder, harm reduction services, and linkage to community-based primary and mental health care. Street-based care is provided at various outdoor locations throughout Seattle. In general, a Sprinter van is used for transportation to and from street-based sites and care is provided both inside and outside of the Sprinter van. Care may also be provided occasionally at brick-and-mortar clinics to support additional patient care.

- Provide care as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team utilizing a patient-centered and harm reduction approach.

Provide clinical triage and patient care evaluation.

Perform appropriate physical examination and assessment.

Order or perform appropriate diagnostic and screening tests and collect additional data for evaluation of illness/wellness.

Develop differential diagnosis and risk identification through assessment and interpretation of data.

Educate and counsel patients on a broad scope of health care issues.

Provide clinical technical consultation to nursing staff, other clinical team members, and the community including advocacy for patients.

Document all medical evaluation, diagnostic procedures, treatment, outcomes, referrals, and consultations in a timely manner.

Perform minor procedures, point of care testing, and other duties as assigned within the position's scope.

Participate in ongoing program and clinical improvement, in collaboration with Mobile Medical team members and other Public Health staff.

Work Schedule: This position is state funded, career service
and has a
typical work schedule for this 0.8 position is four, eight-hour shifts per week (i.e.: Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday). In general, program hours are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This position is subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay.
Work Location: The primary worksite for this position is in the field with the Seattle Street Team (approximately 70% of the time) and in the office location (approximately 30% of the time). The Mobile Medical Program Office is located in South Seattle at 7272 W Marginal Way S Seattle, WA 98108
