As a recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center and a Center of Excellence, the Washington Institute for Coagulation d/b/a Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD), is committed to the wellbeing of patients with an inherited bleeding disorder across the State of Washington, neighboring states, and Alaska. Our staff is an ensemble of dedicated healthcare professionals and support personnel that are striving to ease the burden that bleeding disorders have placed upon our patients. Because of our care model we can offer a multi-disciplinary approach including exceptional nursing care and physician consultation, on-site pharmacy consultation, physical therapy services, social work, billing support to help navigate insurance issues, and a research staff working to develop and improve therapies that will allow our patients to continually improve their quality of life.
Position:
The EHR System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the functionality and integrity of the electronic health record (EHR), NextGen, and performs electronic health record end user support, application training, workflow design/development, project implementation, and documentation. This system supports the administrative, clinical, research, and pharmacy operations of WACBD and plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data, providing strategic guidance, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the organization’s mission of providing quality care to patients.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Hybrid schedule will be set to allow set work from home days but must be flexible regarding work initiatives and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
· Conduct application administration including system configuration, daily operational maintenance and monitoring, updates, and upgrades ensuring maximum uptime.
· Build and enhance effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, vendors, and stakeholders.
· Work closely with Operational counterparts to ensure consistent business processing methods.
· Plan and coordinate downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades as required or requested.
· Research, troubleshoot, and perform detailed analysis on customer inquiries and anomalies to support issue resolution and decision making.
· Provide expert and creative solutions to end-user requirements and problems.
· Manage application related work, projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needs, including internal/external resources.
· Analyze customer business and technical requirements and issues, recommending solutions.
· Identify risks and improvement opportunities through analysis.
· Evaluate potential new features and services and proactively identify ways to enhance or improve programs, processes, and systems.
· Design, build, test, and implement enhancements to meet functional requirements.
· Create reports to support clinical, administrative, and pharmacy operations.
· Participate in clinic/pharmacy/research -wide projects impacting use of the EHR, serving as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and capacity.
· Conduct training to support users and facilitate proficient use of the system.
· Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, policies, and agreements regarding.
confidentiality, privacy, and security.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, health informatics or relative field and five years’ experience in a similar healthcare role.
· Minimum three years’ experience implementing EHR and practice management software, supervising updates, and training users.
· NextGen experience preferred.
· Ability to clearly communicate both in verbal and written format and facilitate presentations.
· Demonstrated ability to train and instruct others to achieve proficiency and understanding.
· Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
· Skilled in working collaboratively, courteously, and tactfully with difficult situations/people to recognize issues and solve problems.
· Analytical skills and the ability to deal with complex projects using critical thinking and appropriate decision-making.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA requirements.
· Required physical activities while using a laptop include frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions of hands/wrists.
· Required physical activities used less frequently include standing, walking, and reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping.
· Attend weekly Rounds Meetings, educational conferences, collaborative meetings, and organizational retreats.

Pay: $99,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
