Job Title: Project Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

Develop scope and plans for pricing on conceptual or quantity-based estimates

Leverages prior experience to generate price take-off quantities, materials, construction equipment, and indirect to support the work

Reviews data to determine material, equipment, and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists

Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work; preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost-effectiveness

Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates

Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized

Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Must adhere to the owner's RFP deadline dates

Must exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Science or similar preferred.

5+ years of estimating experience, preferably in construction or energy sectors.

Must have experience bidding on projects up to $5 - $15 million USD

Must have experience bidding on pipeline facilities, compressor stations, cryogenic plants, fractionators, liquids storage terminals, and meter stations

Must be extremely detail-oriented with proven strong time-management and organizational skills

Positive attitude, results-driven and excellent interpersonal skills

Proficiency utilizing knowledge and skills with MS Office Suite (including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PPT, MS-Project, MS-Outlook) and computer applications is mandatory for this position
