Fabricator/Welder/Installer - Full Time, year round position
Concord Awning is New England's leading designer and fabricator of high-quality custom awnings and canopies, shade sails, covers, screens, curtains, and unique fabrications. Since 1919 these custom items, designed and fabricated by Concord Awning, have met and exceeded the high demands placed on them by our customers and New England's weather. We are experiencing tremendous growth and are excited to be adding to our knowledgeable team.
The Fabricator/Welder/Installer position is an especially important role that requires fabricating welded frames and other custom metal fabrications. Fabricating is a combination of creating from scratch and following processes for standard products. A strong candidate will take pride in the quality of work, since we proudly have a 100% guarantee on our workmanship.
The individual who thrives in this role can build with accurate adherence to shop drawings, can add, subtract, multiply and divide measurements in their head, is open to new ideas and has a thirst for learning. Beyond quality welding, fabrication also includes cutting metal pipe, deburring, drilling, sanding, and electrostatic painting.
This position assists in installing and performing field work with other experienced staff year round, and can also assist in other shop functions including finishing work on fabric products. Work on site may require ascend/descend ladders in performing installations and servicing of our products. Frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, working with others on site to lift, install and secure products. Occasionally drive company vehicles to and from customer sites within New England.
