SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating steam compression presses to produce a variety of “O” rings of varying sizes and compounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure press settings correspond with press specifications (e.g. time, temperature, bumps, and pressure).
· Ensure correct preps of rubber have been brought to the press and that they haven’t expired.
· Check flash thickness twice per shift and log into c-chart.
· Press process sheets must be followed on how to spray and load molds.
· Use various types of compression molding processes which include Drop Jig, Slide Jig, and ID/OD Jig loading in addition to the hand loading of preforms to the mold cavities.
· Inspect and identify defects.
· Keep work area clean and mold platens free of any stray O-rings when stripping molds, production reporting accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school graduate or equivalent in work related experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires the use of basic English grammar and arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and carrying out instruction.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Work environment consists of manufacturing area which may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells and chemicals.
· Work near moving mechanical parts for 2/3 or all the time.
· Exposed for fumes or airborne particles.
· Loud noise levels 2/3 or all the time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
