- Consult patients with the Pulmonary Physicians to understand their health concerns and perform specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients for both inpatient and outpatient services.
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using medical record systems.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years inpatient experience
- NY Nurse Practitioner License
- Acute Care NP preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, master level
- DEA License
- 1 year of experience in Pulmonary (preferred) or at least 3 years as an Adult/ Family Nurse Practitioner
- Experience with PenLung preferred.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
