Maintenance Technician
The purpose of this position is to maximize productive time of equipment and its’ mission is to improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems by supporting the manufacturing team with selected maintenance tasks.
Essential Functions
- Developing knowledge of fabricating and welding systems and processes, then transferring that knowledge to the production personnel.
- Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences or forming consistency can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
- Develop process documentation and systems to maintain the same.
- Oversee part program modification for effectiveness and necessity.
- Oversee tooling and suggest and implement modification to improve system productivity.
- Decrease robotic cycle time by implementing the use of advanced welding technology ( IR: large diameter welding wire, and /or dual welding wire system).
- Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
- Implement adaptive pulse welding where required.
- Assist in daily troubleshooting of robotic problems.
- Support our program of increasing throughput while improving quality
Education and Training
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology, Electronics or other related degree program is strongly desired.
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in a MIG welding environment is desired.
Minimum Qualifications
- Robotic systems programming experience is a strongly favorable factor.
- Experience and demonstration of capability in our operations can offset degree preference.
