Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
- Completes routine service requests to assure the highest quality customer service satisfaction
- Prepares turnover units for occupancy
- Participates in ongoing community maintenance and improvement plans
- Performs general maintenance on interior and exterior of buildings and common areas
- Informs supervisor of additional maintenance work that needs to be done to improve/maintain property
- Completes service requests in a timely fashion
- Performs snow and ice removal from parking lots and sidewalks
- Collaborates with the rest of the Maintenance team and the Leasing Office
- Understanding of Fair Housing laws that relate to maintenance
- On-call Rotation
Qualifications of a Maintenance Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician at a residential community
- General experience with plumbing, HVAC, painting and apartment turnovers
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50lbs on occasion
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
HVAC Maintenance Technician:
Main Responsibilities:
- Installation of new HVAC units inside of the apartments and/or common areas.
- Installation and/or repair of ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
- Routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
- Inspects, diagnose and troubleshoots issues with existing HVAC units.
- Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
- Maintains monthly inventory of part needed
- Performs other related duties as requested
License/Certification:
- HVAC Certification (Required)
