The practice specializes Nero Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Interventional Pain Management, and Chiropractic Rehab.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and create a schedule for the Provider.
- Collect the patient from the waiting room and assist them to an exam room.
- Updating patients’ electronic medical records.
- Document and maintain appropriate workflow in patients’ electronic medical records.
- Merge the patient’s chart, take vitals, verify medications and triage the patient for the Provider.
- Prepare prescriptions for provider signatures.
- Complete the patient’s chart.
- Notify the patient and start the surgical clearance process.
- Clean and sanitize clinic rooms, as required.
- Restock clinic rooms with the appropriate items.
- Other duties assigned by Providers and Administrators.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical offices
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- HIPPA and OSHA compliance
- The ability to communicate effectively with the patient, medical staff, insurance companies, and others.
- Caring demeanor toward patients and co-workers
- Clinical knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computers, fax, copiers, and other technology
- Available to work at various locations when needed
- Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Prior medical receptionist experience, preferably in a spine or orthopedic setting, is a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
