About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Psychologist to join our founding team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the app's functionality and driving our vision forward. As our Lead Psychologist & Co-Founder, you will develop the psychological framework and content for our AI-powered relationship coaching app, design evidence-based interventions, and ensure seamless integration with therapists' practices.
Note: This is an exciting opportunity to join as a co-founder and earn a significant equity stake in the company. Initially, compensation will be equity-only, but a competitive salary will be provided after our next funding round.
Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Collaborate with the founding team to develop the psychological framework and content for the app, including relationship assessments, feedback mechanisms, and personalized guidance.
- Evidence-Based Interventions: Design and implement interventions and exercises to improve communication, conflict resolution, and relationship satisfaction.
- AI Integration: Develop and refine the app's AI-powered coaching algorithms to provide personalized guidance and support to users.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest findings in relationship psychology, couples therapy, and AI-powered coaching to inform app development and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work with the development team to ensure seamless integration of psychological content and AI technology.
- Therapist Support: Collaborate with therapists to develop training and support materials, ensuring effective integration of our app into their practice.
- Fundraising: Participate in fundraising efforts and investor meetings to secure funding for the company.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in couples therapy, relationship coaching, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions and assessments in relationship psychology.
- Preferred but not required: Training or certification in couples therapy methods such as Gottman Method, EFT, Imago, RLT, Developmental Model, Psychodynamic, IBCT, CBCT, or AASECT Sex Therapy.
- Experience with AI-powered coaching or technology-enhanced therapy is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Passion for innovation and improving relationships through technology.
