The IT Support Specialist II is responsible for executing all help desk support activities; installation and maintenance of IT equipment; and device inventory management.
- Answers user inquiries regarding computer software, hardware operation & connections.
- Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop/hardware problems.
- Tests, installs & maintains computer applications and systems.
- Administers active directory to include setup and upkeep of user accounts.
- Sets up computer equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems (imaging), and appropriate software.
- Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications (replacing RAM, hard drives, etc.)
- Performs server administrative duties as trained & needed.
- Trains users and staff on computer tasks (how to use Outlook, desk phone, 3rd party applications etc.)
- Maintains documentation of equipment that will expedite future technological trouble shooting.
- Maintains companywide equipment inventory and delivers reports on assigned/active & decommissioned hardware.
- Deploys Application updates using Active Directory GPO; as well as deploying system updates using WSUS.
- Configures printers on network using appropriate IP address info and updates drivers on servers & PC’s.
- Assists with switch upgrades/replacements, ensuring correct patch panel cabling.
- Installs, maintains and & replaces Wi-Fi Access Point devices as needed, as well as IP video security cameras and server.
- Performs other tasks as required/needed.
- Education:
- Degree in Information Technology preferred
- Specialized Training/Certifications/Licenses: o IT Certification a plus
- Experience:
- 5 yrs. PC support/maintenance work; or o 4 yrs. PC support/maintenance work + IT Certification; or o 3 yrs. PC support/maintenance work + multiple IT Certifications; or o 2 yrs. PC support/maintenance work + IT Associate Degree; or o 1 yr. PC Support/maintenance work + Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge:
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) laptops & iPads o Provisioning user accounts in Windows & Active Directory o PC imaging/cloning for deployment o Cloud & Internet applications

- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Abilities:
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. o Must be able to bend or stoop.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted
- Must have good vision (e.g. near acuity and depth perception)
- Other:
- Must be available to work flexible work schedule based on business needs (e.g. occasional evenings/weekends).
- Must be able to maintain required immunizations as required by the organization.
