SUMMARY:
We are seeking a qualified IT helpdesk technician to assist the Area IT Director with questions and issues concerning computer systems, hardware, and software. The technician will work to guide fellow team members as well as guests through system configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency.
The IT Helpdesk Technician shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Oak Brook Hills Resort Culture as well as promoting Oak Brook Hills Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
The days/hours for this position will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm (part-time) with weekend availability if projects require it. Shift start and end time may vary during the training period.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:
- Tier 1 Tech Helpdesk and exhibit patience in assisting users
- Ability to terminate RJ45 ethernet cables (without an EZ45 passthrough connector)
- Basic troubleshooting
- Basic printer troubleshooting skills (clearing paper jams, replacing toner, etc.)
- Understanding of Windows and Mac networking dialogs (wired and wireless) to assist users with device connections
- Respond to daily user IT requests via our internal ticketing system
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills as needed
Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Prior experience with ProxMox hypervisors preferred
- Familiarity with Windows domain networks (adding/removing users) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 dashboard (managing user accounts and mailboxes) preferred
- Basic knowledge of PC components preferred
- At least three years of prior helpdesk technician experience preferred
- At least three years customer service experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
- Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
