The Project Administrator plays a vital role in supporting engineering projects by assisting with planning, coordination, and execution. This position involves working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate resources and materials needed for project activities.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to procure necessary resources.
- Track resource allocations and utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in monitoring project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Support quality assurance activities, such as inspections and audits, as needed.
- Identify and report any deviations from project requirements or standards.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues affecting project timelines or outcomes.
- Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor and track risks throughout the project lifecycle and escalate as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project coordination or administration, preferably in an engineering, construction or technical environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
