**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating authentic and visually appealing sushi dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Main responsibilities include making sushi, cutting fish and prep work. Chefs are also required to keep their work areas cleaned and sanitary. Further duties and tasks will be given.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other dishes with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Collaborate with the team on menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques and sanitation guidelines
- Work efficiently during peak dining hours to meet customer demand
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a culinary setting
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required
