The successful candidate for the position of Facilities Technician shall be fully capable of performing all job functions listed in 1.1 and possess all the qualifications itemized in Sections 1.0 through 6.1.

1. Job Tasks
-
1.1 Oversee and maintain the facilities of Aphena Pharma including but not limited to: HVAC systems, drainage and sewer systems, LNG systems, building maintenance, security, fire systems, insulation, maintenance machinery (pick-up truck and telescopic handler), pest control, outside lighting and grounds maintenance.

1.2 Report to the maintenance supervisor as to issues, priorities, costings, scheduling and contracting work.

1.3 Have detailed knowledge on OSHA/State of Maryland regulations, or be able to find out those regulations, to ensure compliance.
-
1.4 Have a detailed and extensive knowledge on HVAC systems to troubleshoot problems and complete preventative maintenance, including temperature, humidity insulation and filtration systems.

1.5 Ability to schedule preventative maintenance to ensure a minimization of breakdowns/failures of equipment/facilities
-
1.6 Ability to generate work orders on Manager + to track and comply with requests, as well as document the parts required, and the work completed.

1.7 Interface with outside contractors and all internal departments.

1.8 Ability to research and coordinate the purchase of required parts and equipment needed to complete the work as outlined in 1.1

1.9 Maintain documentation of HVAC requirements for all facilities and machinery.

1.10 General knowledge and operation of fabrication equipment such as: drill press, shear, band saw, hand power tools, etc.

1.11 Assist with the engineering department in analyzing processes and implementing changes that increase efficiency and cost saving improvements.

1.12 Serve as team leader on HVAC/ Facilities projects.

5. Education/Experience

5.1 High School graduate

5.3 Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an industrial mechanic, preferably in a pharmaceutical facility.
