We are seeking a Quality Lab Technician to join our team! You will be responsible to carry out different quality control test; record and store test results and work to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Responsibilities:
A Technician is needed to work fast paced at Dairy plant laboratory. This associate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Quality control-sensory evaluation. Be able to taste yogurt all day long. – This position is not recommended for Lactose intolerance candidates
- Perform bacterial and analytical testing including sensory, physical, and chemical, evaluation of raw material, in-process, and finished products following SOP and specifications.
- Help in sample prep, panel testing, and formulation.'
- Maintain raw material and finished product specifications. Keep Vendor documents up to date.
- Maintain laboratory data, and files, including suppliers’ info,
- Calibrate equipment on a regular schedule as well as maintain databases.
- Help troubleshoot quality problems in production.
- Support conducting Tractability, and internal audits. Also, work on the corrective action.
- Conduct floor internal audits. Work on the company food safety monitoring program and related documentation.
- Conduct in-process, finished product, and environmental sampling.
- Assist in research and development, and production technology.
- Work on the corrective actions of any customer complaints/issues.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
- Maintain inventories in the laboratory.
- Follows all quality, safety, and company protocols & procedures.
· Other duties and Special projects assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science (Preferred)
- Work Location: In person.
- Must have a basic knowledge of science, Math, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Must perform tasting/sensory evaluation on different flavor and fragrance products.
- Good computer and communication skills, some knowledge of lab equipment, ready to work in hot and cold temperature settings and stand for long periods.
- Take initiative and have a proactive attitude.
- Good interpersonal skills and an interest in working with teams are required.
- Follows all quality, safety, and company protocols and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a different temperature setting.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, and walk frequently
- Must be able to frequently lift, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and crouch
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
