This position requires visits to our northern NJ data center as needed to perform job duties. Must be able to travel within the NJ/NY area as needed. Must be flexible as there are times that projects need night or weekend work . These work hours are generally pre-planned based on project needs.

You will be a critical member of a team working to solve real customer pain points. This isn’t your normal position where you may be relegated to one small piece of the company’s technology, or a project that doesn’t matter. Instead, you will be instrumental and have the chance to be part of something very meaningful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of a team in designing, implementing, and supporting current and future systems.
- Design, upgrade, and implement various technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, VMware vSphere, Veeam, SharePoint, Enterprise Storage Devices, and various network equipment.
- Make recommendations and purchases on network equipment and technologies based on capacity planning and benchmark testing.
- Monitors and maintain data center physical cages, located in Northern NJ. Prior Data Center experience is required.
- Analyze, design, test, maintain, monitor, support, and implement WAN/LAN, internet, and intranet using Cisco, Dell, HP, SonicWall, WatchGuard, vSphere technologies.
- Proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Azure/Amazon /Citrix and relevant technologies
- Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context and not treating symptomatic issues
- Has a strong aptitude for trouble shooting and problem solving at the networking layer
- Ability to follow accurate and complete support procedures, system documentation, and issue tracking entries
- Able to demonstrate their ability to take ownership of technical issues brought to them by their customer base
- Demonstrate a willingness to actively engage other support team members to drive it to resolution
- Lead and drive small projects to completion; participate in requirements gathering and definition.
- Maintain systems management reporting on key availability and performance metrics.
- Interact with hardware vendors to assure timely resolution to any issues.
- Deployment, maintenance, and support of production system devices, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and ancillary systems infrastructure.
- Review and assist with backup and recovery efforts (if required) and participate in recovery testing.
- Prepare and deliver status reports for current activities and projects.
- Involvement in the procurement process.
- Function as an off hours escalation point of contact in case of unplanned events.
- Participate in on-call and emergency support of production systems and services.

REQUIREMENTS
- BS Computer Science or Information Technology a plus.
- Managed Service Provider experience preferred.
- 10 year’s industry experience: design, install, configure, support.
- Self-starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross functional team environments.
- Experience with service delivery in cloud services environment a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and problem solving skills..
- ConnectWise/LabTech experience required.
- Candidate MUST be available to work off hours if necessary
