Aviation Summer Program TeacherApplications will be accepted for an Aviation Summer Program Teacher. The grant funded program is scheduled to begin on June 24, 2024 through July 23, 2024. The program runs Mondays through Fridays, 7:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m.
(30 minute lunch break)PROGRAM INFORMATION: June 24, 2024 July 23, 2024 (No class July 4th)5 instructional hours per day / 21 days (Not to exceed 105 hours)LOCATION: WTA Hangar 2, Barnes Airport REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Curriculum and InstructionRESPONSIBILITIES: Provide academic support to students needing to acquire competencies in the Aviation Program.Provide identified students with small group instruction that addresses gaps in their acquisition of knowledge and skillsInstruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.Strive to develop positive relationships with students.Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned day.Keep accurate records of student attendance, student performance, and student work.Provide student attendance data, student performance data, and student/parent surveys to the principal on a timely basis.Participate in professional development, as necessary/provided.Provide parent/guardian information by providing relevant student data/work.Other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Administrator of Student Interventions.SALARY: $42.50 per hour with no benefits not to exceed 105 hours.APPLICATIONS: Will be in the form of a letter and/or resumeWill include a copy of licensure certification and application through School SpringWill be submitted to the Human Resource Office, 94 North Elm Street, Suite 201 Westfield, MA 01085Position Type: Part-timePositions Available: 1
