Job Description Summary:
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for checking, testing, and inspecting raw materials and products at different stages. You will conduct routine analyses and tests of various technical ceramic components used in medical devices.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
- Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
- Conduct simple tests, record results, and prepare simple technical reports.
- Perform visual and physical inspections using complex measuring equipment (i.e. CMMs, Profilometers, Vision Systems, and other Computerized Testing Equipment)
- Perform inspections to determine product conformance to specifications.
- Utilize precision automated and manual measuring equipment to accept or reject parts according to quality standards.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications and return products for re-work and communicate required adjustments to appropriate personnel before product is released to customer.
- Read and decipher complex technical drawings and incorporate tight tolerances into part inspection process.
- Input and analyze statistical data utilizing Infinity or other SPC software, document data obtained during all quality inspection processes, and examine statistical data to determine and maintain quality and product reliability.
- Operate inspection equipment, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting quality of product and report issues to leadership as needed.
- Act as “go-to” person for quality control inspection procedures, train other employees as required, and ensure inspection methods are consistent and performed in adherence to quality standards and processes.
- Conduct training classes relating to inspection tools/equipment, processes, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Perform analytical test using instrumentation/equipment and perform measurement calculations as needed.
- May direct other department inspectors at request of team lead or supervisor in leader’s absence.
- Perform internal audits in accordance with Company and customer quality control standards.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of applicable product inspection experience preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to influence production team towards quality standards and specifications.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and possess intermediate math skills.
- Exhibit strong problem solving, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Work effectively with a diverse group of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Demonstrate resilience and a willingness to learn from experience and adapt to meet the needs of the changing business environment.
- Perform detail oriented tasks using basic language and intermediate math skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.60 - $20.50 per hour
