Job Description:
As the leader of our Electrical Engineering Team, you will get to design and manage a diverse level of projects with a team to ensure project success and client satisfaction, we know that when it comes to a world that's energy efficient, more connected, and more sustainable, engineering solutions are a very important thread linking it all together.
- Serve as Electrical Engineer Manager for different sized projects and take leadership on electrical related code compliance, design development, allocated design budget, and an assigned design team
- Design commercial and industrial electrical power design projects, preparing technical reports, specifications, value engineering and undertaking technical investigation studies (i.e. modifying existing electrical distribution systems, arc flash hazard analyses using SKM/Easypower, low/medium voltage, site selection, and due diligence exercises)
- Support the Project Manager in the overall design development and meeting with Client, Consultant, Contractors and any other external parties
- Coordinate internally with other design disciplines and manage assigned design team
- Prepare documents, evaluate, recommend, and support the tender award. Lead the QA/QC process for electrical design, milestone design review and inter‐discipline cross‐checking. Review and comment on Contractor RFIs, material submissions, shop drawings and support project & construction management teams.
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency with modifying existing electrical distribution systems, arc flash hazard analyses using SKM/Easypower, Revit, autoCAD, and medium voltage
- Experience and ability to lead and manage assigned team, external consultant and cross discipline coordination, excellent communication skills in order to understand the Client's, and team’s needs
- Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Be respectful to everyone
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer In Training (EIT) a plus, not required
- Job will involve some light (~2‐3x / month) travel to client sites, all local within NJ / NY area; travel expenses will be reimbursed
