Job Title: Fund Management Analyst
Job Summary:
Churchill Stateside Group seeks a Fund Management Analyst / Assistant Fund Manager to assist in analytical work for the CSG syndicated investment funds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and oversight of investment portfolios and other investment vehicles. The role involves maintaining fund-level financial information, analyze financial data and market trends to aid the fund manager in making informed decisions. The ideal candidate will become an integral part of a highly experienced group of financial services professionals. The position is a prelude towards a career path in Fund Management / Investor Relations. This position is full-time and based in Clearwater, Florida.
Duties:
1. Investment Analysis and Research:
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, market data, and economic trends.
2. Portfolio Management:
- Assist in the construction and management of investment portfolios.
- Interact directly with the Fund Manager related to all aspects of Fund underwriting, closing, and monitoring.
- Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular reports and updates to the fund manager.
- Analyze and report on portfolio risk and return metrics.
- Assist in investment closings/fund closings / fund monitoring and reporting.
- Assist in preparing fund-level tax returns / audits responsibilities include:
- Communicating with project-level contacts / 3rd party accountants
- Collecting necessary project level information
3. Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain fund level financial information including interaction with external accountants in annual preparation of fund level tax returns and audits.
- Periodic gathering / review of information from project level investments including tax returns and audited financial information.
- Maintain and update financial models and databases requested by Fund Manager.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with fund manager to develop efficiencies in the department
- Communicate research findings and efficiency recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with other analysts and departments to share insights and support overall investor expectations.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor and manage portfolio risks, including market, credit and operational risks,
- Assist in the preparation of compliance documentation and reporting.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
- Develop solutions to optimize operational processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement changes and monitor outcomes
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed initiatives
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in management analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- Two or more years of multifamily real estate experience as an analyst or accountant is strongly preferred with familiarity of partnership tax and financial reporting.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel abilities.
Other skills required:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong aptitude for accuracy and detail.
- Able to work independently as well as function in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and function under tight timeframes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Occasional travel may be required.
A successful Fund Management Analyst can progress to senior analyst roles, fund management positions, or other leadership roles within the investment management industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
