Responsibilities:
- Utilize your physiology knowledge and understanding of aseptic techniques to process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge to ensure accurate assembly of surgical instrument trays.
- Manage inventory effectively to maintain adequate levels of sterile supplies for medical procedures.
- Execute sterile processing procedures following industry standards and protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Apply medical terminology knowledge to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding specific instrument requirements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to meet the demands of surgical schedules and urgent requests for sterile supplies.
- Adhere to strict guidelines for sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience:
- Prior experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Certification in sterile processing or central service technician training is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting are essential qualities for success in this role.
