Job Knowledge
- Understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with autism to ensure pupil learning in subjects taught.
- Content knowledge to deliver appropriate education to neurodiverse and twice exceptional learners.
- Curriculum, instruction, and assessment processes at the high school level as well as differentiation strategies for students on the occupational course of study track.
- Ability to use technology and computer software applications relative to instruction and administration.
- Understanding of positive behavioral supports and how to implement behavior plans that are non-punitive.
- How to effectively collaborate with professionals and parents to best meet the needs of the students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree+ in special education, secondary education, or content area (ex. Math).
- Teaching license preferred
- At least three years of experience working with students with autism.
- Ability to pass a background check

Pay: $44,240.00 - $61,250.00 per year
