1. Essential Job Duty:

Standards:
- Utilizes clinical skills and knowledge in the assessment of the client’s health status (physiologic, psychosocial, emotional, cultural and spiritual)
- Gathers and Integrates patient data in the development of an individualized plan of care utilizing appropriate reference material. (Standards of care, protocols, policies, procedures, etc.).
- Prioritizes diagnoses/problems and nursing interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
- Modifies plan of care to respect the spiritual, cultural, and psychosocial needs of patients/family.
- Demonstrates advocacy for patient/family
- Delegates and assigns appropriate nursing interventions to licensed and unlicensed team members within their scope of practice.
- Demonstrates competence in the safe and effective administration of medications and prescribed therapies utilizing appropriate reference materials (PDR, nurses drug guide, etc.)
- Evaluates progress toward expected outcomes on an ongoing basis and revises the plan of care as indicated.
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills throughout the nursing process in creating a safe environment for patients, families/visitors, and staff.
- Demonstrates appropriate judgment in documenting patient progress, response to treatment, and communication with team members.

- Adheres to and participates in the review of standards of care.
- Provides feedback to enhance patient care
- Maintains annual regulatory/clinical requirements and documentation per policy (i.e., in-service yearly, CPR, TB testing, etc.)
- Maintains current clinical knowledge base and skill level
- Accepts responsibility for attending appropriate in-services/education programs.
- Accepts professional responsibility for identifying own developmental needs and seeks opportunities/ experiences (i.e., specialty training, certification, etc.).
- Maintains and utilizes drug screening certification as directed
- Maintains lab equipment skills and runs CLIA-waived testing during off-hours.
- Maintains supplies and cleanliness as directed by the Administrator
- Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance projects
- Performs duties as assigned by Administrator
