Nicklaus has a long history working with private and municipal clients within the desert southwest and has grown to service federal clients throughout the United States. Nicklaus Engineering’s corporate office is located in Yuma, AZ with satellite offices in San Diego, CA and El Centro, CA. This position is for our San Diego office.
Position Summary:
Our company is looking for a highly organized, self-directed, and motivated individual with a reliable work ethic to join our team in San Diego. The candidate should have the ability to analyze problems, conduct research, and prepare technical reports. It is preferred that the ideal candidate has prior experience working with federal clients such as the DoD, DOI, DHS, or Navy. Demonstrated experience in environmental compliance and regulations is a must. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong background in science or engineering are also required. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, chemistry, biology, or environmental science and at least five years of relevant work experience are mandatory.
Responsibilities of the position:
- Direct installation or operation of environmental monitoring devices or supervise related data collection programs.
- Prepare, review, or update environmental investigation or recommendation reports.
- Develop site-specific health and safety protocols, such as spill contingency plans or methods for loading or transporting waste.
- Provide environmental engineering assistance in network analysis, regulatory analysis, or planning or reviewing database development.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Investigate the environmental impact of projects.
- Develop technical methods or processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
