Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team. The RN Supervisor will be responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area.
Responsibilities:
- Onboards, directs, mentors, develops, and schedules staff, including communicating job expectations and providing performance reviewsProvide high-quality patient care and nursing support during the night shift.
- Provides input on annual budget, monitors expenditures, performs research on possible investments in equipment or additional staffing, and identifies variances in departmental costs
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, report any changes or concerns to physicians.
- Respond to patients' requests for assistance promptly and with compassion.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Monitor and manage medical equipment, ensuring proper function and maintenance.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
