Applebury Behavior Associates was established in 2017 by Dr. Carolynda Applebury with the goal of improving the lives of the children and families we serve. We provide teaching and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in homes, clinics, and communities to create meaningful learning opportunities for children to achieve their full potential. Job Overview
As the Clinical Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of care possible. You will oversee and manage all aspects of their therapeutic needs, ensuring they get the support and guidance they need to achieve their goals. Your job involves supervising caseloads, monitoring the performance of therapists and BCBAs, and keeping track of program progress. You will act as a liaison between families and Applebury Behavior Associates programs. The Clinical Director analyzes data collected by BTs and BCBAs to determine the effectiveness of interventions in creating desired behavior changes for clients. If the desired behavior is not observed, the Clinical Director must develop new strategies utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis principles to bring about the change.
The Clinical Director must have strong clinical experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and how it relates to individuals with autism as well as high-level executive administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and analyze goals and data in collaboration with the BCBA and/or program supervisor using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. These principles include reinforcement, prompting and fading, shaping, chaining, maintenance and generalization, extinction, and punishment. Additionally, behavior analytical procedures such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), and Functional Analysis Assessment (FAA) are employed as needed.
- Responsible for developing and implementing intervention plans and behavioral strategies to assist parents or guardians in managing their child's clinical case. Collaborate with families to ensure behavior plan is implemented effectively and consistently.
- Conduct, write, and report initial assessments and submit progress reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure in compliance with legal, ethical, and safety issues while maintaining confidentiality and respect for all clients in accordance with BACB.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical services provided in-home and community settings.
- Guide, train, and mentor behavioral therapists and BCBAs whenever required and provide the team with all necessary resources, tools, and modeling techniques.
- Consult with all essential team members regarding client skill acquisition and maladaptive behavior reduction programming. Implement client plan modifications as needed and assist in providing client accommodations and social skills instruction.
- Share responsibility with BCBAs for maintaining the client's schedule of sessions and tracking and coordinating all hours.
- Attend IEPs, conduct school observations, and support parents if needed in communication and collaboration with schools and other service providers.
- Responsible for interacting with funding agencies, managing referrals, and performing other administrative duties.

Requirements:
- Masters in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- BCBA certification or related license from the Board of Behavioral Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience working with children ages 0-21 providing one-to-one in-home or center-based ABA treatment services; experience implementing the principles, methods, and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); Special Education; Speech and Language Therapy; or other Allied Mental Health and Human Services experience
- Clinical expertise in appropriate behavioral intervention strategies, earning theories and instructional methods, ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions.
- Proficient in technology, such as Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ABA software platforms.
