OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The Operations & Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities across various regions and departments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience and a passion for our mission. The position will be remote-based and will report to the Director of Operations.
● Support of Daily Operations: Assist with managing daily operations across different regions and departments, ensuring that all activities align with ECC’s programmatic goals and objectives.
○ This includes coordinating schedules, organizing meetings and agendas, tracking project milestones, ensuring the timely completion of tasks, and providing administrative support as needed.
● Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all business activities, including using Salesforce for tracking and reporting purposes.
○ This involves regularly updating databases, ensuring data integrity, and generating reports to support decision-making processes.
● Communication and Reports: Draft and edit communications, presentations, and reports for external use, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with ECC’s messaging and branding.
○ Support the Director of Operations in preparing materials for meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
○ Foster positive relationships with ECC’s stakeholders, including partners, funders, and community members. Assist in developing and disseminating newsletters, press releases, and other communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
● Web Content and Branding: Maintain and update web content, assist in branding and marketing efforts, and manage social media accounts to enhance ECC’s online presence and engagement.
○ Collaborate with the broader regional team(s) to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
● Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Operations.
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to the D.C. headquarters as requested.
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, communications, or a related field.
● Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proofreading.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Must have strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite computer skills.
● Experience with social media management and content creation.
● Familiarity with web content management systems and basic graphic design tools is a plus, preferably with WordPress and Canva.
● Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity
● Able to effectively prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Passion for sustainability, equity, and community development.
