Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the medical staff in delivering high-quality healthcare services. This is a full-time position based in an office setting.
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, answering telephones, communicating to patients in person and on the telephone, filing and handling insurance documentation
- Assist physician with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, height and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations

Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
