Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and take actions based on PDR’s Vision, Mission and Values
- Build, mentor, train, and lead teams to deliver superior customer service with a focus on attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Displays dedication, leadership, and commitment to PDR
- Support the Operations Dept. by performing and developing accurate scopes of work for restoration projects utilizing Symbolist and\or Xactimate.
- Produces supplemental and comparative estimates.
- Negotiate scopes of work directly with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and adjusters.
- Works directly with the General Manager to distribute work evenly amongst Estimators (Front desk usually assigns projects to Estimators without consulting Estimating Manager unless there is a question) and track their progress from site inspection to estimate submission/approval and Work Authorization. Set desirable expectations with the team and monitor their progress to achieve the desired results.
- Review all structurally complex claims and scopes that exceed $75k or as requested by Estimators. Support the mitigation department by reviewing their estimates when Mitigation Manager is unavailable. Estimates are to be reviewed for accuracy, revenue opportunity and adherence to all pre-established TPA and PDR Standards. Lead Estimator will review that photos are labeled, opening statement is present, and all sketch and line items are accurate when doing spot checks.
- Perform random reviews on previously uploaded estimates for accuracy and to use as a teaching tool to sharpen the skills of the estimators.
- Review Compliances Report to identify inspections and estimates due and communicate the needs of the department with the team daily.
- Ensure timelines are met for estimate/supplement submittal. Proactively follow up with PMs and Estimators before compliance is not met to obtain required information/documentation. Estimate review and uploads will be required after hours if needed.
- Provide input and suggestions to Estimators to contribute with their professional development.
- Understand, adhere by, and maintain updated TPA/Carrier Protocols.
Guidelines. Utilize the protocols on training initiatives.
- Acts professionally when interacting with team members, customer and clients while displaying empathy, a sense of urgency and good listening skills.
- Support upper management by accepting additional tasks without hesitation. Provide suggestions and recommendations based on previous experience while displaying openness to new strategies and improved procedures.
- Assist the company by developing Standard Operational Procedures for the department that can be used as reference to current team members and as training materials for new hires.
- Updates Estimating Protocols and Procedure Guidelines provided by TPAs and distributes to Estimating Team.
- Monitor performance and addresses shortcomings from Estimators with empathy and care while keeping upper management updated. Any shortcomings of Estimators or Project Managers should be brought to the General Managers attention. Ask for guidance from GM and HR department on items that cannot be resolved directly with the team member or within the department.
- Develops performance reviews forms and reviews them with Estimators.
- Conducts weekly meetings with Estimators. Operate on flexible schedule by working beyond normal business hours during high claims volume or during surge events or to ensure the completion of tasks necessary to keep the company in good standing with insurance carriers and TPAs. Takes ownership of the production processes involved in and acts upon project requests with a sense of urgency.
- Notify the GM of projects or situations detrimental to meeting compliance or providing superb customer service.
- Follow through on commitments irrespective of the challenges involved
- Understand the nature of the Restoration Industry (24/7) and respond to requests for assistance timely.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager by identifying and developing business relationships that may be profitable for PDR.
- Display a positive attitude, ability to cooperate and be a part of our team.
- Collaborate with the onboarding and training of new employees
- Collaborate onboarding of subcontractors
- Other duties as directed by management.

Pay: $60,279.00 - $85,484.00 per year
