Role/Responsibilities
As a Suspension Engineer at ARB, specializing in aftermarket 4x4 applications, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of suspension systems for various automotive and off-road vehicle applications. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that vehicles, especially aftermarket 4x4 vehicles, deliver optimal ride comfort, handling performance, and overall stability in challenging terrains. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in relevant simulation and modeling tools, and a deep understanding of suspension system dynamics.
Day to day you’ll manage product design, product vehicle fitments, product testing, building prototypes, creating installation instructions, document control, bill of material management and product implementation into production.
Experience/Skills/Education
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in suspension system design and development, preferably with a focus on aftermarket 4x4 applications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., Adams, Simulink)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards related to suspension systems, especially in the aftermarket 4x4 sector
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with multi-body dynamics simulation
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and control systems
